Ligaya Avenida, President and CEO
Ligaya Avenida is a highly respected Filipino American educational leader. A 30-year veteran of the San Francisco Unified School District, she successfully rose from teaching in the classrooms of San Francisco to serving in the district as administrator in various capacities. Her last position with SFUSD, was as Director of Human Resources. Ligaya Avenida has a Bachelors degree in Social Work from the University of the Philippines in; a teaching credential and Masters degree in Educational Leadership and Organization from the University of San Francisco; and a Ph.D. in Public Management from the Pamantasan ng Lunsod ng Maynila.
She is an innovative and a dynamic leader who believes in an "out of the box" approach to solving problems. She has developed many programs and successfully received millions of grant awards that benefited the children of San Francisco. For the past 9 years, Ligaya has served as the President and CEO of AIC, Inc., a professional recruiting and training agency, where she created the International Teacher Placement Program. She serves as consultant to several school systems in the United States in addressing the critical shortage of qualified teachers.

Ron Avenida, VP of Strategy and Business Development
Ron Avenida is the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for AIC. Since 2000, Ron has successfully led professional service and consulting firms in the areas of finance, human resources, technology and administration. Prior to joining AIC, Ron was responsible for the Northern California operations for 2 of the largest law firms in the United States. Ron joined AIC in 2009 to lead the development of its new healthcare practice, HealthConX. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Concentration in Management from California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo; and is an MBA candidate at St. Mary’s College, Graduate Business School, to be conferred in 2010. By leveraging AIC’s knowledge, experience and back-office operations, the company will be able to expand their capabilities to recruit the best and brightest professionals for those positions where there is the greatest demand.
